Illinois Route 22

The Illinois State Route 22 ( IL 22 short ) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Illinois, which runs in an east west direction.

The State Route begins on U.S. Highway 14 in Fox River Grove and ends after 31 kilometers in Highland Park on U.S. Highway 41

Course

After the turn from U.S. 14, the road runs in an easterly direction and meets in North Barrington to the Illinois State Route 59 West of the village of Lake Zurich, the road is crossed by U.S. Highway 12 and then transferring through the Ela Township, before the East of Long Grove meets State Route 83. Before crossing the Des Plaines River IL 22 crosses the route of U.S. Highway 45 and State Route 21 on the border between Lincolnshire and Bannockburn passes the road to Interstate 94, the Tri - State Tollway forms in this section. In the north of Bannockburn it crosses the Illinois State Route 43, before ending in Highland Park to 31 kilometers on U.S. 41.
