Indravarman II.

Indravarman II (probably † 1243 ) was a king of the Khmer Empire of Angkor.

Indravarman II was a son of King Jayavarman VII. Indravarmans About reign are not many records, because his successor, Jayavarman VIII, probably destroyed many historical records. The only inscription, which calls him by name, is an account of his death in 1243. However, this information will be doubted, since recently a previously unknown inscription in Sanskrit has emerged that could change this dating.

Indravarman was a Buddhist and him the enlargement and completion of several of his father buildings are attributed. During his peaceful reign, the Khmer Empire lost control of Champa, and the newly established Kingdom of Sukhothai conquered several territories in the western territories.
