Induction is a progressive metal band from Poland.

History

Induction was probably founded in 2000 and grew out of the group Vein. Many of the band members are trained musicians, come partly from the field of classical music and act in other projects. The debut album S.U.S.A.R. appeared in September 2004, first in Poland, on 6 September 2005 then the world. In early 2008 announced induction on their homepage to start recording their second studio album Idmen, which was released the following year.

Band members

  • Wawrzyniec Dramowicz (drums) graduated from McGill University in Montreal, is a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Poland and was a member of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
  • Ewa Jablonska (violin) studied music and was a former member of the Polish bands Kokszoman, Halucyna and Vein.
  • Piotr Kocimski (guitar) is a trained musician and psychologist.
  • Maciej Jaskiewicz (guitar) was a member of several metal projects.
  • Andrzej Kaczyński ( electric bass).

As a guest musician on the debut album S.U.S.A.R. support Anna Faber (harp ) and Mariusz Duda, vocalist of the band Riverside, the quintet. In turn, played the drums on Dudas Dramowicz 2008 solo album Lunatic Soul.

Style

The music of induction can be attributed to the Progressive rock, between Progressive Metal, New style skirt, retro prog and supplemented with elements of classical music. A special feature is the use of the violin.
