Industry

The industry (Lat. industria: diligence) refers to the part of the economy, which is characterized by the production and processing of material goods or goods in factories and plants, with a high degree of mechanization and automation - as opposed to small-scale production form.

The process for the development and enforcement of industrial production forms as industrialization.

There are also industries that do not meet the above definition and still be categorized as industrial, such as belonging to the service "tourism industry ", " music industry " or " entertainment industry ". One reason for this may be an incorrect translation of the English word industry, that can mean only industrial sector or industry also. Another reason could be that the respective author deliberately wants to cause a negative impression, eg in the sense of " art now instead of purely industrial mass production." However, it is also possible that the author deliberately wants to bring a high degree of automation and mechanization in the sector expressed, for example, in the case of the software industry.
