Ingeborg Pfüller

Ingeborg Ella Pfüller, often Pfuller, ( born January 1, 1932) is a former Argentine athlete who was successful in the shot put and discus throw. She won four medals at the Pan American Games and seven medals at South championships, including four gold medals.

Career

Ingeborg Pfüller won her first international medal at the South American Championship 1949 in Lima, when she won with 36.05 meters bronze behind her compatriot Ingeborg Mello and the Chilean Zita Brandt. At the first Pan American Games in 1951 on home soil in Buenos Aires Ingeborg Mello won with a ball and discus. Ingeborg Pfüller won with 37.19 meters silver with the discus, with the ball it was at the end with 11.58 meters, one centimeter behind the Brazilian Vera Trezoitko in third place. The Americas Championships 1952 took place in Buenos Aires, Ingeborg Pfüller won both with the ball and with the discus silver behind Ingeborg Mello. At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952, it reached 41.73 meters seventh place and just missed the final battle.

In the nine years 1952-1961 Ingeborg Pfüller did not participate in the South American Championships. My only major competition was the 1955 victory at the Pan American Games in Mexico City, where she won on her compatriot Isabel Avellán with 43.19 meters and three meters ahead.

1961 came back Ingeborg Pfüller, they celebrated two double victories in the South American Championships in 1961 and 1963, and won in 1963 at the Pan American Games in Sao Paulo, the silver medal in the discus throw with a distance of 47.83 meters and two meters behind the Canadian Nancy McCredie. In the shot put, she took fifth place in São Paulo.

At a height of 1.68 meters to her competition weight was 64 kilograms.
