Ingeborg Reichelt

Ingeborg Reichelt ( born May 11, 1928 in Frankfurt an der Oder ) is a German soprano singer and former professor at the Robert - Schumann-Hochschule in Dusseldorf.

Life

At the age of 16 years, soprano Ingeborg Reichelt won in 1944 their first music competition. In 1945, she took her music studies at the University of Dresden. In 1947 she graduated in singing, dancing and acting at the Academy of Music in Hamburg. In 1950 she graduated as a singing teacher. 1953 was followed by the concert exam and the examination of the artistic maturity as a student Henry Wolff.

Since 1955, Ingeborg Reichelt worked with Konzertdirektion Fritz Dietrich (Frankfurt / Main). She made an international career as an oratorio and concert singer with a wide repertoire ranging from Bach and Handel, Haydn and Mozart through Brahms and Pfitzner, to Schoenberg and Henze.

1975 Ingeborg Reichelt was professor of voice, gave master classes at the Robert- Schumann -Hochschule in Dusseldorf. Since 1970 she was a jury member in singing competitions, including the VMDK, the DAAD by the International Hugo Wolf Foundation and others.

Since 1959 until his death Ingeborg Herrmann- Reichelt with the former Wehrmacht officer and lawyer Hajo Herrmann ( 1913-2010 ) married. From this marriage two children were born.
