Ingemar Johansson (athlete)

Ingemar Johansson ( Bror Ingemar Johansson Ture, born April 25, 1924 in Hagfors, † 18 April, 2009 Värmskog ) was a Swedish -goers.

From 1946 to 1948 he was Swedish champion in the 10 - kilometer walk. In 1947 he presented in 45:00,0 minutes on his personal best. At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 all three Swedish skiers qualified for the finals with Werner Hardmo, who in 1945 established the existing world record, John Mikaelsson and Johansson. In the final Hardmo was disqualified Mikaelsson won with half a minute ahead of Johansson, the 16- second lead over the third-ranked Swiss Fritz Schwab reached the goal of his hand.

Two years after London Johansson gave up at the European Athletics Championships 1950 in Brussels. In 1951, he won again the Swedish championship title.
