From 1724 to the expropriation in the course of the Estonian land reform in 1919 the estate was owned by the noble Baltic German family Staal.

Especially the landowner Carl Friedrich von Staal (1721-1789) left the mansion from the mid-18th century to expand. Striking feature of the mansion was the baroque spire above the main portal, which was created in 1750. He was the only one of its kind in Estonia.

Ernst von Staal left in 1796 to supplement the hall in the west wing. End of the 19th century, the wide stone terrace was completed at the rear of the building in the style of historicism and the estate increased by outbuildings. In the park, the owners could build small pavilions and little bridges. Get today next to the mansion, the distillery, the manager's house, a water mill, carriage house and some stables.
