Ingmar De Poortere

Ingmar De Poortere ( born May 27, 1984 in Ghent) is a Belgian track and road racing cyclist.

Ingmaar De Poortere his career began in 2003 when the farm team of the Belgian professional team Quick · Step - Davitamon after he won the Junior race Omloop the Vlaamse Gewesten in the previous year. Since 2005 he is riding for the Continental Team Bodysol - Win for Life - Jong Vlaanderen. In his second year there he won a stage of the Ronde van Antwerpen. In 2007 he won with his teammates, the team time trial at the Volta a Lleida.

On the railway De Poortere was 2006 Belgian Champion in the Team Pursuit. The next year he won along with Tim Mertens, the three runs of the UIV Cup in Rotterdam, Berlin and Copenhagen and was able to decide the overall title for themselves. In the national championship in 2007, he was in the team pursuit defend his title and also won the scratch.
