Ingrid Fickler

Ingrid Fickler ( born October 27, 1940 in Zagreb ) is a German lawyer and politician. As a Member of the CSU she belonged from 1994 to 2008 at the Bavarian State Parliament. From 1993 to 1995 she was a member of the party executive of the CSU. From 1998 to 2008 she was deputy in the parliament faction leader.

Vita

Fickler first visited the High School Sacred Heart, in Graz and Metz. After graduation in 1959 she went to the Commercial Academy in Graz and started in the same year a study of the law. Later she moved to Munich, where she earned her doctorate in 1963. Following this, she worked at a court in a tax consulting and auditing firm. 1966 married Fickler a timber contractor and worked in the operation of her husband in Lautrach in the district of Lower Allgäu with. From 1986 to 1994 she was a non-professional judicial member of the Bavarian Constitutional Court.

Her political career began in 1977 with the entry into the CSU. In 1985, she was in her home country Unterallgäu county chairman of the Women's Union and in the same year a member of the CSU Board District in Swabia, two years later, deputy chairman of the CSU Swabia. Their first mandate they took over in 1990 in the council of the district of the Lower Allgäu. 1991 Fickler became a member of the national executive of the Women's Union and since 1993 she is deputy state chairman. She was elected to the executive committee of the CSU in 1993, where she was employed until 1995. In the state elections in autumn 1994 Fickler was first elected to the Bavarian Parliament. From 1998, she was there deputy parliamentary leader of her party and was a member of the Committee on Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Questions. In the state elections in 2008 she could no longer move as a list candidate for the district Swabia due to the losses of vocal CSU in the state legislature.

Other activities

In addition to her political activity Fickler is active in various church organizations. Since 1978 she is in Swabia, district director of the Catholic German Women's Federation, 1990 to 2002 the deputy state chairman. From 1978 to 1990 and then again from 1994 to 1998 she was a member of the Diocesan Council, and from 1989 to 1990 member of the Diocesan Synod in the Diocese of Augsburg.
