Ini Kamoze

Ini Kamoze (born 9 October 1957 Port Maria, Saint Mary Parish; civil Cecil Campbell) is a Jamaican musician.

His debut single, World Affairs was published in 1981. Kamoze first emerged in Jamaica as a disco musicians a name. In 1995 he had an international top ten hit with the song Here Comes The Hotstepper, who had appeared on the soundtrack to Robert Altman's movie Prêt -à- Porter. In the USA, the title even reached # 1 on the Billboard charts.

The 1984 published song World A Reggae became popular because Damian Marley 2005 later as World Jam Riddim known precisely for this song along with the exclamation "Out in the street, they call it Merther " used for his own title Welcome to Jamrock. The son of Bob Marley thus achieved his first major success.
