Innocenzo da Berzo

Innocent ( March 19, 1844 * in Niardo, Italy when Giovanni Scalvinoni; † March 3, 1890 in Bergamo) of Berzo is a blessed of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Innocent of Berzo attended a Capuchin school and then studied the subjects of Catholic theology and philosophy at Brescia. In 1867 he received the sacrament of Holy Orders and was appointed chaplain in Berzo. Then he entered the Capuchin Order and took special care of the concerns of the sick people. His way of life was marked by humble submission to God and a deep love for the Sacrament of Penance. He died on March 3, 1890 in Bergamo, and was buried at the insistence of the population in the parish church of Berzo. Pope John XXIII. spoke to him on November 12, 1961 blessed.
