The Inter League is a competition in the Mexican association football.
2004 Mexico got two fixed places in the Copa Libertadores assured in 2005 yet another qualifying place.
Since same time as the Copa Libertadores but the CONCACAF Champions League will take place over which the Mexican teams can qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup, the first fixed starting place is promised to the winner of the Apertura regular season of the previous year since 2009.
To the other two starting places to play in January, during the break the Primera División de México, the other eight best teams in the past Apertura - except the teams who participate or participated in the ongoing Champions League.
Currently being played according to the following mode: In two groups of four teams, the matches will be played on neutral ground, which is why the games in California and Texas are ( 2005, in Arizona), USA with a large Mexican population discharged. In two " finals " play the first group against the runners-up of the other group. The winning team with the better statistics in the group stage gets the second fixed grid position awarded to the other winning team has in the Trials.
