Interxion

Interxion is a leading provider of carrier-neutral colocation data center services. The company currently operates 36 data centers in eleven European countries, including seven in Frankfurt and one in Dusseldorf. Interxion offers access to more than 500 carriers and Internet service providers (ISPs ) and 19 internet node, including DE- CIX. History

Interxion was founded in 1998 and was supported by various international investors, including Baker Capital, Cobepa, Bear Stearns, Credit Suisse First Boston, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Parcom Capital and Nautic Partners.

Across Europe, Interxion provides in its 36 data centers services in the areas colocation, connectivity and managed services for companies such as Coca -Cola, IBM, Kaspersky Lab, DFN, LeasePlan, RTL Interactive or Siemens available. The data center FRA9 was opened in March 2014 after a construction period of five months. Data centers

Interxion currently operates a total of 36 data centers spread across thirteen cities in eleven countries.

All European operations of Interxion meet the internationally recognized ISO/IEC27001-Zertifikat for information security management systems and ISO22301 certification for business continuity management. The certificates include the physical infrastructure, data center security, access management, human resources, communication and work processes, compliance with legal criteria, and backup and disaster recovery systems. The company is also in accordance with ITIL3 V3 as well as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard certified.

2013 won Interxion as part of the Data Centre Solutions Awards DCS Industry Award. 2012 Interxion was awarded the " European Award for Energy Efficiency in Data Centres " in the "Broad Group 5th Datacentre Awards". 2012 and 2011 was Interxion winner of the " Green IT Award " and was named " IT Operator of the Year ". Internet nodes

Internet nodes ( Internet Exchanges ) are the nodes of the Internet. They serve as exchange points for the traffic of the internet. In Interxion's Frankfurt data centers located since 1999 with DE- CIX one of the three largest Internet node in Europe, and the node with the world's highest data throughput.
