Ioan Fiscuteanu

Ioan Fiscuteanu ( born November 19, 1937 Sanmihaiu de Campie, † December 8, 2007 in Târgu Mureş ) was a Romanian theater and film actor.

Fiscuteanu graduated from the Bucharest theater and film school ( Institutul de arta şi Teatrală Cinematografica " IL Caragiale "). Then he appeared on the stage of the State Theatre of Piatra Neamt. From 1968 he was an actor at the National Theatre of Târgu Mureş, where he has appeared in numerous roles.

In parallel, he worked with well-known Romanian directors and played in twenty films. For his role of Dante Remus Lazarescu in the movie " Moartea Domnului Lazarescu " ( German: The Death of Mr. Lazarescu ) In 2005 he was at the Copenhagen International Film Festival with the main prize for the best performer, the "Golden Swan " and in the Transilvania International Film Festival ( TIFF) awarded for the best presentation.

Fiscuteanu was also a writer and poet. He edited the volume Strugurii de furat iS mai buni. In 2003 he was awarded for his many years of community service activities of the Romanian theater and film arts the distinction of being cavalier of the State Order " Serviciul Credincios ".

In 2001, at Fiscuteanu a cancer had been found. Six years later he died in the Department of Oncology of the District Hospital of Târgu Mureş it.
