Irineu Gassen

Irineu streets OFM (* November 24, 1942 in Santa Cruz do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) is a bishop of the diocese Vacaria.

Life

Irineu streets of the Congregation of the Franciscan occurred in the Province of Saint Francis of Assisi ( Brazil) in, took off in 1966 and professed received on 27 July 1968, the ordination. He was Minister Provincial of his Order and pastor of the "São João Batista " in the Diocese of Caxias do Sul.

In 2008 he was beatified by Benedict XVI. appointed bishop of the diocese Vacaria.
