ISO 3166-2:CG

The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for Republic of Congo contains the codes for the 10 regions and the capital district.

The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for Republic of Congo CG), the second is the code for the region again. The current country code has not been updated since the publication in 1998. In 2002, the regions were converted into departments and the Department of Pointe -Noire newly created in 2003. These changes have not been included in ISO 3166-2.
