ISO 3166-2:NZ

The list of ISO -3166 -2 codes for New Zealand contains the codes for the two islands, twelve regions, four unitary authorities and a special Iceland authority.

The codes are composed of two parts which are separated by a hyphen. The first part is the country code according to ISO 3166-1 ( for New Zealand NZ ), the second the code for the island, region or authority again.
