Israel Meir Freimann

Israel Meir Freimann ( born September 27, 1830 in Krakow, † August 21 1884 in Ostrowo ) was a German rabbi in Filehne and Ostrowo.

The proffered successor Zacharias Frankel at the Jewish Theological Seminary in Breslau, he refused because of religious scruples. In Ostrowo a street was named after him in 1900.

Israel Meir free man was the father of Aron Freimann.
