Isulan, Sultan Kudarat

Isulan is an independently managed community of the first income class in the Philippine province of Sultan Kudarat in Mindanao.

The church is the seat of the provincial government of Sultan Kudarat.

Geography

The community Isulan located in the central eastern part of the province. It is surrounded by the municipalities of Esperanza and Lambayong in the north, the city of Tacurong City and the municipality of Norala ( from the province of South Cotabato ) to the east of Sto. History

The current municipal area of ​​Isulan formerly belonged to the communities Koronadal, Koronadal City today and Dulawan. The municipality of Koronadal was founded with the Executive Order No. 82 on August 8, 1947, President Manuel Roxas.

On March 10, 1953, the municipalities Norala and Cotabato were established by Executive Order No. 572, remained in charge of Koronadal. By Executive Order No. 266, the municipality Isulan was dissolved on 30 August 1957, President Carlos P. Garcia from Norala, Cotabato and Dulawan and appointed an independent management community.

The municipality was officially opened on 12 September 1957, Datu Suma Ampatuan as the first mayor, who remained in office until 1967.

On June 21, 1969 signed by President Ferdinand Marcos of the Republic Act No. 5960, with which the community Bagumbayan was removed from Isulan. This cost the community 85 % of its original area. From 48 Barrios remained today 17
