Itaimbezinho

Itaimbezinho is a natural rock canyon in the north of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul about 170 km northeast of Porto Alegre.

The Itaimbezinho has a length of 5.8 km, a width at the widest point of 2 km and a height of about 700 meters. He belongs to the National Park Aparados da Serra, which ranges over in the state of Santa Catarina.

The name comes from the Tupi- Itaimbezinho Guarani = Ita (stone) s Aí'be (spicy).
