Ivan Stević

Ivan Stević ( Serbian Cyrillic Иван Стевић; born March 12, 1980 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian cyclist.

Career

Already in the age group U23 Ivan Stević was able to pull some good results and draw attention to himself even at the elite race class; For example, in 2002 he was runner up twice on stages of the Tour of Serbia in 2003 and 2004 and placed several times on the podium at stages of the " Baby Giro ." However, his outstanding results from this period are taken from the 2003 season, when he was Serb- Montenegrin champion in the road race and second in the road race at the B World Cup in Aigle.

In 2005 he received his first contract with an international cycling team, the Serbian- Montenegrin Continental Team Aerospace Engineering Pro Equipe. He again won the national championship titles in the road race and one stage in the Paths of King Nikola, the Sea Otter Classic and the Tour of Serbia.

In 2006 he moved to the U.S. Continental team Toyota - United Pro Cycling team and could be the year of Serbian champion in the road race. At the Tour de Georgia in 2007 he won a stage in itself. In the same year he won the road race in the B World Championships.

In the years 2009 to 2012, he ran again in European teams and was at that time three times the Serbian champions: 2009 in the road race, in 2010 and 2012 criterion in the time trial. He also won, among others, the Tour of Serbia in 2011 and the Grand Prix of Sochi in 2012.
