Ivo Papazov

Iwo Ibrjama Papasow (Bulgarian: Иво Папазов, best known as Ivo Papasov; born February 16, 1952 in Kardzhali, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian clarinetist.

The son of a Roma family from Turkey plays since the age of 10 clarinet.

He was known primarily for his fast and virtuoso interpretations of Bulgarian wedding music and blending of Bulgarian folk music with jazz and blues. It occurs not only with his wedding band. Even with the Black Sea Orchestra, an all-star ensemble of eight countries around the Black Sea (with, among others Floros Floridis, Okay Temiz, Enver Ismailov and Harry Tavitian ), he was on an international tour. Papasow received a Grammy Award in 2005.
