Ivo Ringe

Ivo rings ( born July 5, 1951 in Bonn ) is a German painter and artist. He is a member of Concrete Art.

Life and work

Ivo rings was born in Bonn as the twelfth child of a formerly upper middle class family. His father worked on the invention and design of electrical equipment. In 1972 he began studying sculpture at the Dusseldorf Art Academy under Joseph Beuys. In 1974 he moved to Rolf Sackheim and devoted himself to the study of free graphics. In 1977 he was appointed Professor Rolf Sackenheim master student. Rings lives and works in Cologne. He is married to the American sculptor Heather Sheehan.
