Ivory Coast women's national football team

The Ivorian national football team of women representing the Ivory Coast in international women's football. The national reports to the Ivorian Football Federation and is coached by Adelaide Koudougnon.

The team of the Ivory Coast was the first African women's national team. In 1988 she took part in a tournament in China, where they lost all three games against the Netherlands, Canada and China. Four years later, the next game, this time in France against the French women, which was also lost. Another ten years passed until the fifth game, which was the first home game and encounter with an African team at the same time. On 10 August 2002, the Ivory Coast and Mali parted in the qualification for the African Cup of Nations in Abidjan with 3:3. Since the return in Mali draw ended - this time 1:1 - separated the ivory coast due to the lower number of scoring away goals. Also for the other African and world championships and Olympic Games, the team could not qualify. 16 December 2007 scored the first victory against the Senegalese. On 16 June 2012, the team was able to qualify for a European Championship for the first time. In the qualifying matches this succeeded the highest ever victory against Mozambique.
