Prehistory

In order to establish a sporty family car on the market, developed IzhAvto, the automotive division of Ischmasch, based on the Izh 2125 the prototypes Izh 13 and Izh start 19 home. With the aim to create a middle-class successor to the Izh 2125, the project in 1985 as a collaboration of IzhAvto with AZLK ( Moskvich ) and AvtoVAZ ( Lada ) was revived, with also a new Lada model should arise. Model variations

Commercial Vehicles

1992

In 1992, the IzhAvto had to look for a financial hardship for other suppliers. The body production was relocated to modern manufacturing equipment from Komatsu, Kuka and Demag, some body parts were found finished in Portugal.
