IZZ
IZZ is an American progressive rock band from New York City.

The Galgano brothers founded the band in the late 1990s and named it after the nickname of a baseball player. They publish approximately every two years studio and live albums that are often associated with the retro -Prog in the tradition of Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, Gentle Giant and The Beatles. However IZZ take their style appeals to a wide variety of genres and name as influences Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev, for example, also, Thelonious Monk, Steely Dan, Dave Matthews, The Police, Stevie Wonder and Everything but the Girl. Characteristic of the band are the polyphonic singing and the use of two drummers.
