J. D. Walter

JD Walter ( born July 2, 1967 in Philadelphia ) is an American jazz singer.

Walter sang as a child in the American Boychoir. He studied from 1985 to 1993 jazz singing at the University of North Texas. 1993-1994 he was a student of Deborah Brown at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. After his return to the U.S. he lived in New York and Texas. The early 2000s, he studied at the University of Philadelphia.

In 1997, Walter on his first album was followed by others; he writes and composes many of his own titles He also gave courses in Moscow, at the Sibelius Academy in Finland and the University of North Texas and has appeared in radio and television broadcasts and at jazz festivals in the U.S. and Europe.
