Jabal (Bible)

Jabal ( " Wanderer" ) Hebrew: יבל, is a name mentioned in the first book of Moses in the Old Testament of the Bible man (Gen 4,20 EU).

Jabal was one of the sons of Lamech and his chief wife Ada. He had a brother, Jubal, and a half-brother, Tubal- Cain.

Jabal is referred to in Genesis as the ancestor of those who dwell in tents ( nomads ) and cattle have ( shepherds ). He was following the Biblical narrative, Ururururenkel of Cain and applicable in the Jewish tradition as the patron of all nomads.
