Jacek Falfus

Jacek Eugeniusz Falfus ( born 1 February 1951 in Siemianowice Śląskie ) is a Polish politician, a local politician and since 2001 member of the Sejm in the IV, V and VI. Election period.

He finished his studies at the Faculty of Mining Geodesy of Mining and Metallurgy Cracow University. From 1978 to 1990 he was head of the company " Geoprojekt ". From 1990 to 1998 he fulfilled the function of wójt ( Vogt ) in the municipality Kozy. From 1998 to 2001 he was Starosta and County Council of powiat Bielski.

He is co-founder and chairman of the Association for the "South Institute " in Bielsko- Biała as well as initiator and board member of the Polish- Slovak-Czech Euro Beskydy region.

In the parliamentary elections of 2001 and 2005 he was on the list of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ( Law and Justice - PiS), elected for the electoral district of Bielsko- Biała in the Sejm. In the 2007 parliamentary elections he won for the third time a deputy's mandate, this time with the votes of 18 814.
