Jack Quinn (politician)

John Francis "Jack" Quinn ( born April 13, 1951 in Buffalo, New York) is an American politician. Between 1993 and 2005 he represented the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Jack Quinn earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1973 at Siena College in Loudonville. Between 1973 and 1983 he taught as a teacher in public schools in Orchard Park. His Master of Arts, he graduated in 1983, at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Between 1982 and 1984 he sat in the Town Council of Hamburg. He was then 1985-1993 Town Supervisor in Hamburg. Politically, he belongs to the Republican Party.

In the congressional elections of 1992, for the 103rd Congress Quinn was in the 30th electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Louise Slaughter on January 3, 1993. He was re-elected four times in a row. In 2002 he stood as a candidate in the 27th District of New York for the 108th Congress. After a successful election, he resigned on January 4, 2003 to succeed Thomas M. Reynolds. Since he gave up for reelection in 2004, he retired after January 3, 2005 from the Congress.

After his conference time he went his activity after as Professional Advocate. He was president of Erie Community College in Buffalo.
