Jack Scanlon

Jack Scanlon (born 6 August 1998 Canterbury ) is a British young actor who played the role of Shmuel in the famous film drama The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.

Life and career

Scanlon was born in Canterbury, but now lives with his parents and younger brother in Deal ( Kent).

He came through his drama club to audition for a role in " The Boy in the Striped Pajamas ". After the film director Mark Herman continued his choices down to three potential candidates and each of them had come together in the final round with Asa Butterfield, he finally decided to Scanlon. Quote Hermans: "Jack and Asa played very well against one another. "

" The Boy in the Striped Pajamas " is Scanlon's feature film debut. Previously, he was in a 10 -minute short film called " The Eye of the Butterfly" and to see in 2007 in an episode of " Peter Serafinowicz Show". In 2009 he also played yet in the British miniseries " Runaway ", in which it comes to homelessness, the little brother starring Sean ( William Miller).
