Jackie Burroughs
Jacqueline "Jackie " Burroughs ( born February 2, 1939 in Lancashire, England; † 22 September 2010 in Toronto, Ontario) was a British- Canadian film and theater actress.
Life
Jackie Burroughs spent her first twelve years in England before she with her parents and her brother Gary moved to Canada in 1951. Here she graduated in 1962 from the University of Toronto. First experience as an actress, she gained in the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Stratford. Burroughs was not only an actress but also a dancer. She married in the early 1960s Zal Yanovsky musician, with whom she lived, among others, in New York City. From the marriage, which ended in divorce in 1968, Burroughs was ' only child, daughter Zoe, out. After divorcing Yanovsky Burroughs returned to Canada. She also had a second home in Oaxaca ( Mexico).
In 1966 she was in the short film Notes for a Film About Donna & Gail for the first time on camera. Although she then stood in over 100 films and television series in front of the camera, she was not well known internationally.
