Jacob Crocheron

Crocheron Jacob ( born August 23, 1774 Staten Iceland, New York, † December 27, 1849 in Richmond County, New York ) was an American politician. Between 1829 and 1831 he represented the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Jacob went Crocheron sectors of agriculture and was in 1802, 1811 and 1821 worked as a sheriff in Richmond County. Politically, he was a member of the Jacksonian Group. In the congressional elections of 1828 Crocheron was in the second electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of John J. Wood on March 4, 1829. Since he resigned in 1830 to run again, he retired after March 3, 1831 from the Congress. He died on December 27, 1849 in Richmond County and was buried at the St. Andrew 's Church cemetery. His brother was the Congressman Henry Crocheron.
