Jacob Nena

Jacob Nena ( born October 10, 1941) is a politician of the Federated States of Micronesia and fourth president of the state from 1996 to 1999.

Even before that, he was vice president under Bailey Olter. Once this had a stroke in July 1996, Nena took on 8 November 1996, first as acting office. On 8 May 1997, he was officially sworn in and led the remainder of the term of Olter to an end.

Before he became Vice President and President, Nena was Governor of Kosrae 1979-1983.
