Jacqueline Roque

Jacqueline Roque ( February 24, 1927 *, † October 15, 1986 in Mougins ) was the second wife of Pablo Picasso and his most represented model.

Life

Jacqueline Roque was born in 1927. After her first marriage and the birth of their daughter, Catherine Hutin - Blay she met in 1953, Pablo Picasso know before was the separation of Françoise Gilot and their children Claude and Paloma. As Jacqueline Picasso met her, she was ceramics saleswoman at Madoura in Vallauris, in whose studio since 1946 Picasso created ceramic works. She was 46 years younger than Picasso. They married in Vallauris on 2 March 1961.

Jacqueline spent the last 20 years with Picasso until his death, the marriage remained childless. She let his portraiture flourish again, and it created more than 70 portraits of Jacqueline. Jacqueline Roque took in 1986 by shooting life, 13 years after the death of Picasso.
