Doudou Jacques Faty (born 25 February 1984 in Villeneuve -Saint -Georges ) is a Senegalese- Cape verdisch - French footballer, who plays for FC Sochaux in the French Ligue 1. His younger brother Ricardo plays for AS Roma.

Playing career

Jacques Faty comes from the youth of the French first division side Stade Rennes. For Rennes he played from 2002 to 2007 for five years in Ligue 1 and also reached the UEFA Cup. The Bretons, he was most of the time a regular player and could be recommended for the youth national teams of France. The defender moved in summer 2007 to league rivals and Champions League hopefuls Olympique Marseille. While he was there often just substitute in the league, but he also denied Champions League and UEFA Cup games for his new team.

For the season 2009/10 he moved to FC Sochaux, for which he played until 2011. For the new season 2011/12 Faty signed for Sivasspor. After one and a half season for Sivasspor he left this club for the second half of the season 2012/13 and joined the French club SC Bastia.

Internationally

Jacques Faty played many matches in the various youth national teams of France. In 2001, he was with his team are U17 World Champion, 2002, he participated in the U21 European Championship in Portugal, where he retired with his team in the semifinals. Since 2009 he plays for the Senegal national football team.
