Jacques Ishaq

Jacques Ishaq ( born February 25, 1938 in Mosul ) is an Iraqi priest and Curia Bishop of Babylon.

Life

Jacques Ishaq received on 20 June 1963, the ordination. Pope John Paul II appointed him on 7 May 1997 to the Archbishop of Arbil.

He received his episcopal consecration the Patriarch of Babylon and Archbishop of Baghdad, His Beatitude Raphael I Bidawid, on 26 September of the same year; Co-consecrators were André Sana, archbishop of Kirkuk, and Karim Delly Geries Mourad, Auxiliary Bishop of Babylon.

From his office he resigned on 4 May 1999. Benedict XVI. appointed him on 21 December 2005 Titular Archbishop of Nisibis dei Caldei and Curia Bishop of Babylon.
