Jacques Landriault

Jacques Landriault ( born September 23, 1921 in Alfred and Plantagenet ) is retired Bishop of Timmins and participants of the last three sessions of the Second Vatican Council.

Life

Jacques Landriault received on 9 February 1947, the ordination.

Pope John XXIII. appointed him on 15 May 1962 Auxiliary Bishop of Alexandria in Ontario and Titular Bishop of Cadi. The Apostolic Delegate to Canada Sebastiano Baggio consecrated him on 25 July of the same year the bishop; Were co-consecrators Rosario L. Brodeur, Bishop of Alexandria in Ontario, and Maxime Tessier, Bishop of Timmins.

On May 27, 1964, he was appointed Bishop of Hearst and was introduced on July 14, 1964 to office. Paul VI. appointed him on 24 March 1971 for the Bishop of Timmins and managed more as diocesan administrator, the diocese Hearst, of this office he resigned on February 8, 1973. On 13 December 1990 he resigned from his position as Bishop of Timmins back.
