Jacques Vaillant

Jacques Vaillant ( born June 8, 1952 in Strasbourg ) is a French singer.

Life

At the age of six years Jacques Vaillant became blind after an accident. The school choir sang soprano.

In 1968 he took part in a competition in the French radio station (Europe 1), " Les numéro 1 de demain " with (the number 1 of the morning), which makes a stop in Strasbourg. He sang a song from his former idol Johnny Hallyday, but could not win because he was not yet 16. 1970, at the age of 18, Jacques Vaillant hitchhiked through France. He earned his money by small jobs as a salesman, held in Montpellier, later in Marseille on and performed as a singer whenever he got the chance. A year later, Jacques Vaillant went to Paris.

In 1975 he sang for the passengers down in the Paris Metro station Trocadero, République and Montparnasse.

In 1980 he recorded his second single Pourquoi les fleurs piétiner, but the first to come from him. That was the step to success: ten thousand records he sold in a few months. In the 1980s, the song Slow pour Alvina was even during several days in Belgium, Switzerland, the Benelux countries and in the French overseas territories at the top of the charts. The great success failed to materialize and Vaillant went back down into the metro. Here he wrote his album Correspondences. It was produced in 1983.
