JAGAL

The Yamal gas link pipeline ( JAGAL ) is a pipeline in eastern Germany.

JAGAL combines the JAMAL - Europe line with the natural gas network of GASCADE in Germany. The Russian natural gas is coming from Poland incorporated into the compressor station Mallnow ( Brandenburg ) and fed here in the German gas grid. JAGAL crosses the states of Brandenburg, Saxony -Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia and makes her annual transport capacity of 28 billion cubic meters, an important contribution in the trans-European pipeline network:

The course of the JAGAL leads 336 km from the Polish border on Mallnow and Baruth ( OPAL ) in southwestern direction Rückersdorf ( Thuringia) in Gera, where it meets the STEGAL since 1999.

In preparation for pipe laying an archaeological route survey was made.
