Jaime Ramírez

Jaime Ramírez Banda ( born August 14, 1931 in Santiago de Chile, † February 26, 2003 ) was a Chilean football player. With the national team of his native country, he participated in the Football World Cup 1962 in part in their own country, where the Chileans surprisingly occupied space 3. He played a total of 13 different clubs and won in 1956-1971 three times the Chilean soccer championship.

National

His debut in the Chilean national team gave Ramírez in 1954 in the 1-2 defeat against Peru. Overall Ramírez denied 36 games for the selection of his home country, scoring 13 goals. With Chile he took part in the 1962 FIFA World Cup in their own country, where he twice met the goal in six games, one against Switzerland in a 2-1 Final and once in the scandal match against Italy. At the end of his career he took out 35 -year-old participated in his second World Cup in England in 1966 but resigned Chile in the first round out.

Jaime Ramírez died in 2003 at the age of 71 years.
