Jake Buxton

Jake Fred Buxton ( born March 4, 1985 in Sutton-in -Ashfield, Nottinghamshire ) is an English football player who is under contract with the second division Derby County since 2009.

Career

Mansfield Town and Burton Albion

Originally from the own youth academy Jake Buxton debuted on 22 October 2002 in a game of Football League Trophy for Mansfield Town. In the second half of the 2002/03 season he played three league games for the third division before relegation, the club as a table next to last in the fourth league. In the subsequent season Mansfield missed the direct re-emergence as a result of defeat in the play-off final against Huddersfield Town. After three seasons in the lower third of the table Buxton rose with his team in the 2007/ 08 season in the Football League Two from and left after the club for which he had been active since the age of 13.

On 5 August 2008 moved to Buxton, trained by Nigel Clough fifth-tier Burton Albion. In the 2008 /09 season he won the championship with his new team in the Conference National.

Derby County

Shortly after the rise with Burton Albion has been committed Jake Buxton by second division club Derby County, who was trained by Nigel Clough since January 2009. After nineteen league games in the Football League Championship 2009/10, he completed the 2010/11 due to injury, only one league game. After his return to the Football League Championship 2011/12, Jake Buxton has signed a new two-year contract in April 2012.
