Jakob Dylan

Jakob Luke Dylan ( born December 9, 1969 in New York) is an American singer-songwriter. Dylan became famous as a singer and songwriter of the band The Wallflowers and then he drew attention to himself as a solo artist.

Life

Jakob Dylan is the youngest son of the marriage of Bob Dylan and Sara Dylan. 1992 Dylan married his childhood sweetheart, Nicole Paige Denny. The wedding reception was held at Sara Dylan's property. Today Jacob lives with his family in Los Angeles and Pennsylvania. Dylan has four sons and one adopted daughter.

The Wallflowers

His career started as a singer Jakob Dylan as frontman of the rock band The Wallflowers. The group was founded in 1990. Their debut album was released in 1992. Was released in 1996 the album Bringing Down The Horse. The album has sold over four million copies ( twice as often as his father's Blood on the Tracks album).

In November 2002, the band released their fourth studio album, Red Letter Days ( RLD ) published. RLD was the first Wallflowers album, took on the singer Jakob Dylan a lot of the guitar parts himself.

After the release of their fifth album Rebel, Sweetheart of the contract, the band ran out. The situation of the band has since clarified. Jakob Dylan The Wallflowers won two Grammy Awards.

Solo career

Jakob Dylan graduated in 2006 a contract with the music label Columbia Records as a solo artist.

Dylan wrote the song Here Comes Now as a soundtrack for the Six Degrees series and collaborated with other artists. So far, there has been a joint appearance with his father Bob Dylan.

Since September 2007, Dylan worked on his first solo debut album, which was produced by Rick Rubin. The album Seeing Things was released on 13 May 2008. Seeing Things is a classic, in the sound reduced and purely acoustic folk album. The majority of the songs is thematically with the theme of " war" apart.

2008 Jakob Dylan went with his backing band, the Gold Mountain Rebels on tour, which led him in October 2008 to Europe. In Germany he played in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Wiesbaden and Cologne.
