Jamaaladeen Tacuma

Jamaaladeen Tacuma ( born June 11, 1956 in Hempstead, New York Rudy McDaniel ) is an American jazz musician ( bass guitar, composer ).

Tacuma grew up in Philadelphia and played as a teenager with the organist Charles Earland. At the age of 19 he began to work with Ornette Coleman in its primetime lineup.
