James Isaac
James Isaac ( born June 5, 1960; † 6 May 2012) was an American film director.
Career
His career in film began as Isaac creature technician. In this position he was in 1983 at The Return of the Jedi with. A year later he was a member of creature crew for the film Gremlins - Small monsters. Other films in which he was inter alia responsible for special effects, was followed.
In 1989 he made his debut as a director with the horror film The Horror Show. The actor Lance Henriksen in this case took a leading role. Isaac was in 1990 nominated to the Fanta postage for the International Fantasy Film Award for this. His next movie he made in 2001 when he staged Jason X. On this project, he was also involved as an executive producer. 2006 and 2008 respectively followed by another horror movie.
On the WorldFest Houston Isaac was honored for his work Pig Hunt 2009 with the Gold Award. On the Fant - Asia Film Festival 2008, he was the third place in the category Best European / North - South American show film. He also won at the Chicago Horror Film Festival Jury Award. His last work was directing the Independent Slasher Pig Hunt. In 2012, he took a role in Himself Daniel Farrands documentary Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of ' Friday the 13th ' one.
Death
On May 6, 2012 will be a friend and colleague Todd Farmer announced the death of Isaac on Twitter. A little later it was announced that Isaac had been suffering from leukemia for months.
