James Noble (actor)
James Wilkes Noble ( born March 5, 1922 in Dallas, Texas ) is an American actor.
Noble was born the son of Ralph Byrne and Lois Frances Wilkes Noble. He is married to his wife Jessica Katherine since May 19, 1956 and the couple have a daughter.
He mainly works as a series actor and plays minor and major roles in various television series. He has appeared in Starsky & Hutch (1978), Hart to Hart (1979 ), Fantasy Iceland (1982 ), Love Boat ( 1981, 1983 and 1984), Scarecrow and Mrs. King (1987) and A Greek conquered Chicago ( 1989). His most famous role was that of Governor Eugene Xavier Gatling on the sitcom Benson.
