James RodrÃguez
James David Rodríguez Rubio ( born July 12, 1991 Cúcuta ), better known as James Rodríguez, is a Colombian football player who has a contract with AS Monaco since 1 July 2013.
Career
In the club
Rodríguez started his professional football career in 2006 at the time of his Colombian second division side Envigado FC, with whom he managed to climb in 2007.
In 2008 he moved to Argentina to CA Banfield. The club was twelfth in the Apertura and Clausura. In the seasons 2009/10 bonarenser suburb club champion of the Apertura and Clausura was fifth in the. Banfield was qualified for the Copa Libertadores, where Rodriguez scored five goals in eight games, Banfield retired in the second round against the eventual winner of the competition from SC Internacional of Brazil.
In the summer of 2010, the Colombians joined the Portuguese champions FC Porto. With this he won from 2010 to 2013 three times the championship and the 2011 Cup and the Europa League. In 65 league games Rodríguez scored 25 goals and prepared further 27 before.
For the 2013/14 season Rodríguez joined together with João Moutinho to the French first division club AS Monaco. He signed a contract until 30 June 2018. On November 30, 2013, he scored his first goal for the Monegasque. and cost € 45 million transfer fee.
In the National Team
Rodríguez played for both the U -17, as well as for the U- 20 of the Colombian Football Federation. In the summer of 2011, he took part in the U-20 World Cup in his home country. There he was eliminated in the quarter -finals, scoring three goals in five games.
On October 11, 2011, he came to his debut in the Colombian national football team, as he stood in the away match against Bolivia ( 2-1 ) for the World Cup qualifier in 2014 in the starting lineup and played.
