James Younghusband

James Joseph Younghusband (born 4 September 1986) is an English footballer who once played for Chelsea and currently plays for the Philippine national football team.

Younghusband signed for Chelsea in 1996 and was later at the age of 16 years, a place at the club. During his Chelsea time he came for the youth and reserve team for quite a few games used. He attended the Salesian School in southwest London, where he also received his degree.

Childhood and career

Younghusband was born the son of Philip Younghusband, a chartered accountant and tax adviser, and Susan Younghusband, a Filipina, in Ashford, Middlesex, England.

He was at Chelsea when he was not even twelve years old. It is usually for the right side of the field, either right back or right outside, in charge.

Early 2005, attention was drawn by a Playstation 2 players unspecified on the Younghusbands because he found out that they are of Filipino descent, the Philippine Football Federation. Ultimately Younghusband and his younger brother Phil were called into the squad for the Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines, where Younghusband scored his first international goal.

Phil Younghusband was a regular in the reserve team of Chelsea. Younghusband went on to play at AFC Wimbledon, FC Staines Town and for a short time at FC Woking.

After a year at the Philippine Association San Beda Red Lions, he is since the beginning of 2012 together with his brother at Loyola FC under contract.
