Jan-Marco Montag

Jan- Marco Montag ( born August 12, 1983 in Cologne ) is a German hockey player and world champion.

Monday began his career at Black & White Cologne. He played in England at the Old Loughtonians in Spain with Barcelona and replaced in 2008 by the Gladbach HTC after Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. Since the 2009/2010 season is Monday at KTHC Stadium Rot-Weiss under contract.

Monday played in 2005 with the German national hockey team at the European Championships and finished third. 2006, the defender was there when the German team successfully defended the title in 2002 at the World Championships in Mönchengladbach. In 2007 he won the Champions Trophy, but finished with the German team at the European Championship only fourth. Monday heard as a substitute for the team for the 2008 Olympic Games. Due to the illness of Oliver Korn Monday came in both the semi-final against the Netherlands as well as in the Olympic final against Spain used.

Jan- Marco Monday has completed 155 internationals. His father Joachim Monday played 16 times for the national team, his uncle Hans Monday was used in 100 international games and was a 1976 Olympic squad.
